NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT pursuant to Section 124 of the Community Charter, the Council of the City of Prince George (the “City”) intends to consider final reading and adoption of “City of Prince George Council Procedures Bylaw No. 8388, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9601, 2025” at its regular meeting scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1100 Patricia Boulevard, Prince George, BC. 

Bylaw No. 9601, 2025, if adopted, would amend “City of Prince George Council Procedures Bylaw No.8388, 2011”, as follows:

a) by clarifying the deadlines for submitting notices of motion, committee reports, and correspondence to Council for inclusion on the agenda.

b) by adding a new section 21(4)(d) to clarify the submission deadline for handout correspondence related to land-use applications;

c) by amending the publication timeline for council committee agendas from 5 (five) to 7 (seven) days; and

d) by revising the requirements for correspondence to council requiring the writer’s first and last name and residential street name.

Residents who believe their interest is affected by the proposed bylaw can provide written comments to Council prior to their consideration to adopt the proposed bylaw.  For more information on how to provide a written submission, please see the attached Notice.
