FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, B.C. – City of Prince George garbage collection will return to a regular Monday to Friday pickup schedule starting December 1 as Regional District of Fraser-Fort George job action has ended, and the landfill is operating as normal.
Residents can refer to the 2025-26 garbage collection schedule for pickup information. There will be no garbage collection this Saturday, November 29. The collection schedule starting December 1 is as follows:
- Orange zone: Monday
- Blue zone: Tuesday
- Yellow zone: Wednesday
- Red zone: Thursday
- Green zone: Friday
The collection schedule will continue as normal until the December 25 and 26 statutory holidays.
The City thanks residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the Regional District strike as staff worked hard to minimize disruptions. Residents can sign up for garbage and recycling collection reminder alerts on the City website or by downloading the Recycle Coach app.
