FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, B.C. -- On February 23 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Prince George Fire Rescue crews responded to a structure fire in the 1800 block of Sommerville Road.
First arriving crews found fire on one half of the structure and heavy smoke issuing from the eaves. Thanks to a rapid response and coordinated efforts of firefighters, the fire was successfully mitigated, limiting damage to neighbouring properties.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage is estimated at approximately $300,000. No injuries were reported.
