Prince George, B.C. – Technical issues with the regular A/V system in the Council Chambers at City Hall mean that an alternate platform will be used to livestream tonight’s (Monday, December 15) Council meeting.

Those wishing to watch the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m., can do so via YouTube using this link. The meeting will also be recorded, and the video will be posted on the City’s website afterward.

Links to the YouTube livestream will be shared on social media and posted on the City’s website.

The meeting agenda is available online. Following the meeting, a highlight summary will also be posted.

In November, City staff completed extensive IT upgrades in Council Chambers. The work is nearly complete, with the updated livestream hardware being one of the final components to be installed.

The project includes improved sound quality in Chambers, better visibility with new and larger display screens, livestreaming available in the Chambers foyer for overflow attendees, and a new hearing-assistance system.

The City thanks the public for their patience as livestreaming issues have occurred more frequently over the last 12 months.
