Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George activated the Emergency Social Services Centre (ESS) to support evacuees from the Cariboo Regional District on Thursday, September 4.

Evacuees have started to arrive in Prince George from the Ulkatcho First Nation and area surrounding Anahim Lake. For the most up-to-date evacuation information for the Cariboo region, evacuees should visit the Cariboo Regional District website and the BC Government website.

The ESS Reception Centre is located at the Prince George Exhibition Grounds. Reception trailers are located at the parking lot between the horse paddocks and ice oval (2187 Ospika Blvd. S). It will remain activated daily while it is needed to support evacuees. Any changes in the hours will be communicated through the City’s website and social media channels.
